National coach Nagelsmann still has two tests left in 2023. The DFB announces the preparation schedule for the games against Turkey and Austria. Some fans can be happy.
Julian Nagelsmann is gathering his squad for the national soccer team’s final international matches this year against Turkey and Austria next Monday morning by 11 a.m. in Frankfurt.
As the DFB announced, the first training session of the DFB selection will take place on the field on the association campus on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. Then almost 100 fans, who are selected by the DFB for various activities, are allowed to watch captain İlkay Gündoğan and his colleagues.
The day before, ten national team supporters can talk to a professional during a so-called locker room discussion. The participants in this fan campaign will be drawn from online applicants. After the World Cup failure in Qatar last year, the DFB announced that it would allow more direct contact with its fans again. National coach Nagelsmann will announce his squad on Friday.
The DFB selection will only arrive at the venue in Berlin after four days of preparation in Frankfurt. The last home game of the year against Turkey will take place in the practically sold-out Olympic Stadium on November 18th (8.45 p.m./RTL). In Vienna, the DFB selection will play the following Tuesday (8.45 p.m./ZDF) against the Austrian team of coach Ralf Rangnick, which has already qualified for the 2024 European Championship.
