Coach Diego Simeone today extended his contract until June 30, 2027 with Atlético de Madridas reported by the institution in an official statement.
“The Argentine coach signed his new contract at the Cívitas Metropolitano offices, thus confirming the continuity of the project that began with his arrival at the red and white bench in December 2011”the “colchonero” club announced on its official website.
Atlético de Madrid, since the arrival of Simeone, has won eight titles: two Leagues (2013/14, 2020/21), one Copa del Rey (2012/13), two Europa Leagues (2011/12, 2017/18), two European Super Cups (2012, 2018) and a Spanish Super Cup (2014).

“Simeone is not only the coach who has coached our team the most times in an official match with 642 – surpassing Luis Aragonés’ 612 – but also the most successful and the one who has led the same team in LaLiga for the most consecutive seasons currently”the document detailed.
