Will the title race in the 2nd football league be exciting again? League leaders GAK suffered their first home defeat in yesterday’s 1:3 against FAC – and only their second overall this season.
A surprise that SV Guntamatic Ried also likes: The Innviertel team clearly defeated Lafnitz 5-0 on Friday and also played one game less. With a win in the catch-up game against the amateur team from Sturm Graz (December 6th, 6:30 p.m.), coach Maximilian Senft’s team could reduce the gap to the Styrians to eight points. “I didn’t bother with the table three months ago and I won’t do so now either. We’re looking at ourselves. Our goal is to develop a sustainable team for the Bundesliga,” says Ried coach Maximilian Senft.
It’s more about bringing the performances to the pitch week after week. His team is currently doing this very well: the Vikings have been unbeaten in seven games. “I especially liked the way we won against Lafnitz.”
The flow should be taken with you during the international break: On Wednesday, the Innviertel team will play a friendly against Wacker Innsbruck. (rawa)
