Up to and including 2026, half of the races per season will be shown live on private broadcasters and half on public broadcasters. ServusTV holds the rights, ORF is, as before, a sublicensee. The two channels take turns broadcasting the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg.
This agreement, which according to the press release was made “in the spirit of efficiency and cost-effectiveness”, began to take effect in the current 2023 season, in which the Austrian race was broadcast by ORF. ServusTV will broadcast the home Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in 2024, ORF in 2025 and ServusTV again in 2026. In addition to the live rights, the license package includes detailed highlight summaries as well as the rights for the online and mobile areas.
