Manuel Neuer’s era at FC Bayern Munich continues. On Tuesday, the German record champions extended the contract with the 37-year-old goalkeeper by one year until June 30, 2025. The contract with his replacement Sven Ulreich was also extended until this point.
“I’m happy to be staying at FC Bayern for another year. After my long injury, I’m fully attacking again,” said Neuer, according to the statement. The 2014 world champion goalkeeper made his comeback at the end of October after a long injury break. In December he broke his leg in a skiing accident.

“I really enjoy being on the pitch with this team. I am convinced that together with the fans we can achieve our big goals in the next few years – and of course that includes the Champions League final in 2025 Munich. Knowing Sven will continue to be by my side makes it all the nicer,” said Neuer.
Neuer came to FC Bayern from FC Schalke 04 in 2011. He has also led the team as captain since 2017. He won the treble of the Champions League, championship and DFB Cup twice with FC Bayern (2013, 2020) and won the Club World Cup twice.
