Key day in Boca to determine if the elections will be held on Sunday

November 30, 2023 – 00:00

Today will be a decisive day in the life of Boca, because at 12 the representatives of the ruling party will be face to face with those who represent the opposition in civil court number 11 to maintain the conciliation hearing called by Judge Alejandra Débora Abrevaya, and reach an agreement that will allow voting this Sunday and electing the new authorities who will lead the institution for four years.

The discussion took place about 13,364 members who went from adherents to active members between August and November 2021, on the verge of closing the electoral roll. These are the “trick” voters that the opposition denounces.

However, yesterday morning, the official Electoral Board carried out a survey on each of those objected partners. Thus they came to the conclusion that only 4,100 were associated as adherents and then became active during the current administration in the reported period. The rest, although they were also converted to assets in those months, are inherited from the administration of Daniel Angelici.

Ruling out that this was carried out as an electoral measure, the ruling party proposes that the elections be held on Sunday and that those 4,100 members vote in three tables separate from the rest and that if whoever wins does so by a greater number of votes, the question will be settled. And on the other hand, if the winning formula is established for less than 4,100, everything remains on standby until the judicial resolution.

Disagreement

However, the opposition would not agree. “First they show the papers, we will analyze them and then we will see. But from the outset they would be admitting an irregularity so it would not be appropriate for us. We want to vote on Sunday but maintaining the original position that the 13,364 done in a hurry are left out of the registry,” one of the men closest to Mauricio Macri told TyC Sports.

On the other hand, the Boca formulas, both the ruling party and the opposition, decided to cancel their campaign closures that were going to take place yesterday and today afternoon-night.

The decision was made after the suspension of Sunday’s elections through a ruling by Judge Alejandra Débora Abrevaya.

After what was a heated Tuesday where Civil Court No. 11 issued a resolution that suspended, for the moment, the elections in Boca, both the official formula of Juan Román Riquelme and Jorge Amor Ameal and the opposition of Andrés Ibarra and Mauricio Macri They decided to cancel their campaign closings that were going to take place yesterday and Thursday between 6 and 8 p.m.

The ruling party was going to make two presentations: one yesterday at the Brian Toledo Sports Center in Malvinas Argentinas and the other today at the Municipal Activities Center of Berazategui, both of which were going to take place at 8 p.m. and were suspended.

For its part, the opposition was going to close its campaign, today, at 6:00 p.m., at the Carlos Carella Theater in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
