EM ticket: This is what Nagelsmann and ex-footballers say about the German group

The German national soccer team will play in the group phase of the 2024 European Championships at home against Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland. This was the result of the celebratory draw on Saturday in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. The Scots will be the opening opponents of national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s DFB selection in the Munich Arena on June 14th, who was unable to travel by plane to the draw in the north due to the onset of winter in the south.

“This is not a group of death, but there are no really bad opponents,” said Nagelsmann on MagentaTV, “this is an interesting group in which we of course want to assert ourselves.” He’s especially looking forward to the first game against the Scots: “It’ll be a tough start, but a nice one.” The Scots have “great fans, it will be a nice start in Munich”.
