Due to snow chaos, the Bundesliga game between FC Bayern and Union Berlin cannot take place. A Union representative comments on a catch-up date.
The canceled Bundesliga game between FC Bayern Munich and Union Berlin is not expected to be rescheduled until next year. Union spokesman Christian Arbeit confirmed this at the weekend on rbb’s Radioeins.
Both teams will have time next week because they are no longer represented in the DFB Cup. However, according to work, Bundesliga games are not allowed to take place on cup match days.
The following week, Tuesday and Wednesday are blocked by the final group games in the Champions League. A weekly game day in the Bundesliga is planned before Christmas anyway. Then the short winter break begins.
Appointment probably in January
The German Football League (DFL) had announced that it would announce a catch-up date soon. A decision is expected at the beginning of the week. A game date is likely in January as there is no English week at the start of the year.
Due to the weather chaos in southern Germany, the game between the bottom of the league from Berlin and the record champions was canceled. Safety risks due to the extreme snowfall and the traffic situation made a cancellation unavoidable, as the second-place team from Munich announced a few hours before the planned kick-off.
