The three-time Olympic champion is now the official ambassador for the 2025 World Ski Championships in Saalbach. “I want to share my passion for skiing with all fans and do my part for a successful World Ski Championships,” says the 33-year-old from Carinthia, who has been advising the speed teams since this season, looking forward to this new, exciting event Task.
“It is a great honor for me to take on this role. Skiing was and still is my life. I have been to many major events and have experienced a lot in my career. The overall concept for the World Championships in Saalbach excited me and… I am convinced that I will be able to experience a real sports festival in February 2025,” said Mayer.
“Matthias will not only arouse the enthusiasm of the fans, but also actively participate in events and PR activities to increase the anticipation and enthusiasm for the World Championships in Saalbach 2025,” said Christian Scherer, ÖSV General Secretary and World Cup Managing Director.
