The Argentine Under 23 team, led by Javier Mascherano, will play two friendly matches with Ecuador, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) officially reported today, with a view to its preparation for the Pre-Olympic Tournament that will be played in January in Venezuela.
The first match will be played on Thursday, December 14, starting at 8:05 p.m. at the Estudiantes stadium in Buenos Aires, while the second will take place on Sunday, the 17th at 7:05 p.m. at the Quilmes Atlético Club stadium.
The team, which resumed training this week, has as its objective the Pre-Olympic Championship that will be played from January 20 in Venezuela, and which will grant two places for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Argentina will make up Group B with Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and Peru, while the other zone will be made up of Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Ecuador.
