SC Paderborn ended HSV’s winning streak in their own stadium after seven home wins and won 2-1 (1-1). This means that the Hanseatic League will initially remain in third place. The Fürth team gave up the win at the last minute and, after five wins in a row, had to settle for a 1-1 (0-0) draw against 1. FC Magdeburg and fourth place for the time being.

1. FC Kaiserslautern remained winless in their seventh league game in a row under new coach Dimitrios Grammozis and lost to Hertha BSC 1:2 (1:0).
