Sammy Kuffour once celebrated great success at FC Bayern. Will his nephew soon be following in the big footsteps?
Reinforcement for the youth department of Bundesliga record champions FC Bayern: Apparently Matai Akimboni will come to Munich. He is the nephew of former Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffour, who won the 2001 Champions League with Bayern and later that year scored the 1-0 winning goal in the World Cup final against Boca Juniors.
Akimboni (14), who like his famous uncle is a central defender, is said to be loud Modern Ghana and the picture-Reporter Christian Falk will initially be set up in the youth sector, and then maybe even join the professionals.

Akimboni could play for the US or Nigeria in the future as he has his roots in both countries.
Recently, Kuffour said in the “Bayern Insider” podcast: “My nephew is coming. I really hope that he can make it to Bayern and become the next superstar.”
