At times in the race over ten kilometers each in the classic and free technique, Carl even looked as if she could make it onto the podium. At the end there were the Swedish winner Ebba Andersson as well as Jessie Diggins (USA) and Heidi Weng (Norway). Pia Fink also scored World Cup points in 18th place.
