After Juventus, AS Roma will also reject Miralem Pjanic’s return. For Jose Mourinho, the transfer is obviously not financially manageable.
FC Barcelona are still looking for a buyer for midfielder Miralem Pjanic. Like the Spanish sports newspaper Brand reported, AS Roma, the next possible candidate for a transfer of the Bosnian, has rejected.
Pjanic’s ex-club is said to have recently observed the 31-year-old, but coach Jose Mourinho apparently refused a transfer for financial reasons. Previously, Juventus had allegedly ruled out a return of the midfielder.
FC Barcelona are considering loan transfer from Miralem Pjanic
A big hurdle is Pjanic’s annual salary, which should amount to around 15 million euros. So far, no club would like to respond to the rumored transfer fee of 45 million euros. According to the report, the Blaugrana are therefore also ready to let Pjanic go on loan in order to be able to make urgently needed salary savings.
It was only last summer that Pjanic moved from Juventus to Barcelona, where he has rarely been part of Ronald Koeman’s first team since then. He started from the bench 17 times in 30 games and was not involved in any goal.
