Mollner Clemens Millauer and his lady of the heart Anna Gasser shone with second places and a grand gesture at the last Big Air World Cup before the Olympic Games in Beijing. The snowboard aces donated the prize money they had earned in Steamboat Springs to the family of their good friend Marko Grilc, who recently died in a fall in the open air in Sölden.
“I’m sure that Grilo looked down on me. Because I wasn’t nervous at all in this strong field in the final,” said Millauer, who for the second time in his career – after Beijing 2018 – was on a World Cup podium had driven.
The 30-year-old Carinthian Gasser is Konstanz personified. The Olympic champion has always been on the podium in 14 Big Air World Cups to date. “A second place is a good result. I’m also happy for Clemens, who was rewarded for his hard work.”
