San Lorenzo de Almagro was inhibited today by the FIFA and disqualified from incorporating new players, following a claim for a debt by the Colombian midfielder Yeison Gordillo for a million dollars.
The player, who arrived at the Boedo club in 2021 in exchange for US$1,400,000 from Deportes Tolima, from Colombia, ended up free due to the intervention of Argentine Footballers Associations in their claim for non-payment of the pass and a salary debt .
After an initial intimation, it was possible to negotiate with the “azulgranas” leaders (the Board of Directors now replaced), but the club finally did not pay.
The inhibition prevents San Lorenzo from making incorporationswith which the arrivals of the Uruguayan midfielder Santiago Viera and the Colombian defender Jhohan Romaña were suspended until the conflict was resolved.
On the other hand, the continuity of the idol Leandro “Pipi” Romagnoli as coach of the Reserve was confirmed, after meeting with the club’s new head of football, former midfielder Néstor Ortigoza.
