The Argentine Football Association (AFA) updated the new conformation of the Executive committee after the change of authorities in different clubs. The most salient novelty published in Bulletin 6,415 entitled “Resolutions of the Board of Directors” is the presence of Carlos Montaña, who took over as one of the six vice presidents of the entity representing Independiente.
It states: “Appropriately, on the occasion of the Assembly held on 05/19/2020, the Members of the Executive Committee of the Argentine Football Association were elected. Please note that several of its elected members ceased their duties and were replaced (change of authorities in the Clubs) in accordance with the current statutory provisions.”
Montaña was elected first vice president of “Rojo” in a club Assembly held at the end of last year, replacing Néstor Grindetti, who took over as president after the resignation of Fabian Doman.
With the same rank he remained David Garzon, president of Huracán, who will replace Horacio Arreceygor, who left his position in San Lorenzo at the end of last month. It should be noted that Arreceygor’s successor, Marcelo Morettiwas designated as a regular member like Fabian Berlanga who won the elections in Vélez during December.
For his part, the head of Lanús, Luis Chebel, replaces the former President of “Grana”, Nicolás Russo, as Executive Secretary. The Executive Committee has a mandate until 2025.
