The midfielder Emiliano Vecchio will sign the termination of his contract with racing Club, thus putting an end to a stage that began promisingly and culminated in scandal.
A few days ago, the 35-year-old player decided not to attend any practice so far this year and this forced the relationship with the coach to Gustavo Costas would break.
The previous year, Vecchio had had limited participation in the team, playing just six games, one of them as a starter.
Costas hoped that the preseason would allow the player to regain his fitness after an injury in October 2022, when he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a match against Colón.
On Friday, December 29, Costas contacted Vecchio to express his interest in having him for the new season and motivate him to work hard.
However, the coach never had the opportunity to meet with the player, as he unilaterally decided not to attend any practice, without providing any justification.

This act of indiscipline left the president of Racing, Victor Whitein an uncomfortable situation, since in addition to leading the club, he is Vecchio’s father-in-law, since his daughter Mercedes is in a relationship with the steering wheel.
The news of Vecchio’s rudeness reached Costas’ ears through third parties, which led to the player’s quick rejection by the coaching staff.
To make the situation worse, it was revealed that Vecchio was on vacation in Miami until a few days ago, with Blanco and his family.
Sergio Lami, the midfielder’s representative, explained the footballer’s decision not to continue with the club: “Racing was terminated due to Emi’s personal issues. The decision was made by the player himself. We wanted to finish in the best possible way. He wants to continue playing, but there is nothing advanced”.
