The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed to the Paulista Dorival Junior as the new coach of the national team Brazil and tomorrow the presentation will be held in the city of Rio de Janeiro, through a press conference.
“Dorival Júnior is the new coach of the Brazilian men’s national team. The press conference with the coach will be held this Thursday the 11th, at the CBF headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro”indicated the five-time world champion entity on its official account on the social network X.
The former coach of San Pablo replaces Fernando Dinizchampion of the 2023 Copa Libertadores with Fluminense, in the 2-1 victory against Boca Juniors, at the legendary Maracaná stadium.
Dorival Júnior, 61, managed 21 teams in Brazilian football, including Vasco da Gama, Internacional de Porto Alegre, where he won the 2011 Recopa Sudamericana, and Flamengo, where he won the 2022 Copa Libertadores.
He also comes from being a two-time champion of the Brazilian Cup with Flamengo and San Pablo, who offered the position of coach to the Argentine Juan Pablo Vojvoda, who, according to Brazilian media, rejected the proposal and will remain in Fortaleza.
