Jadon Sancho is back at BVB – and should deliver immediately. Dortmund’s coach relies on the offensive player’s special moments.
Borussia Dortmund’s football coach Edin Terzic expects quick help from returnee Jadon Sancho.
“I told him what I want, what I need, what he can expect from us. We are ready to give him the chance to show that he can do it again, that he is far from finished. But I “I don’t have time, he doesn’t have time, we don’t have time,” Terzic told the TV channel Sky.
Sancho, who played for BVB from 2017 to 2021, is returning to Dortmund on loan from English record champions Manchester United until the end of the season. “He is very special in certain things and that is also something that is important because he is a player who does special things on the pitch,” said Terzic, who still remembers Sancho’s last six months in Dortmund. Those were perhaps the best six months at BVB.
Sancho receives the number 10 shirt at BVB, which his former teammate Erling Haaland commented on Instagram with “Beautiful”. “It’s an iconic number. As a child, 10 was always my favorite number, also because of Ronaldinho. I always watched YouTube videos of him,” said Sancho: “When Dortmund said that 10 was available, I didn’t I thought about it for a long time and asked that I get it.”
