The OÖN had already announced the transfer yesterday, Wednesday, and the completion announcement came today: FC Blau-Weiß Linz announced the commitment of João Luiz Soares Alves until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old Brazilian is moving to the steel city from second division club Sportclub Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz with immediate effect. In the current season, João scored two goals and assisted one goal in eleven competitive games for Vorarlberg. The Brazilian previously played in the Austrian second division for SKU Amstetten and Wacker Innsbruck.
“We are pleased about the signing of João because he can play several positions on the left side and also in the attack. He is a very exciting player who has a good mentality and definitely wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to gain a foothold in the Bundesliga,” says sports director Christoph Schößwendter.
The Samba kicker was also pleased about the transfer and emphasized: “The move to FC Blau-Weiß Linz fills me with great joy and I am grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate my skills in the Bundesliga.”
