A worthy conclusion to the training camp of Bundesliga soccer team LASK: Before leaving Turkey tomorrow, the Linz team celebrated a 3-0 friendly win against Polish first division club Lech Posen.
The original plan was for the LASK team to play two halves of 60 minutes each – but due to heavy rain, the friendly whistle was blown off after 90 minutes. After 30 minutes, extreme precipitation had already set in – especially in the last half hour, when the second LASK block was in action, the game was more like a water polo game.
Nevertheless, there were important insights for LASK coach Thomas Sageder: until the 45th minute he had Sascha Horvath and new signing Valon Berisha play together in the middle of the midfield, and a stage before that Robert Zulj cranked things up in his usual manner. It looked like a very offensive but also promising constellation. Zulj in particular once again made the difference in his role as a playmaker: the 31-year-old prepared both of Moses Usor’s goals (17th, 44th) in an exemplary manner.
Lenny Pintor scored the final score of 3-0. At this point, a serious football game was no longer possible due to the many puddles of water on the field, which the Linz offensive player also benefited from in this situation: A pass from the opposing goalkeeper got stuck in a puddle of water, Pintor reacted quickest and shot to make it 3: 0 a.
This is how LASK played
Lawal (60. Jungwirth/82. Steinbauer); Ziereis (75. Peric), Andrade (60. Luckeneder), Talowjerow (82. Eisschill); Flecker, Berisha (45. Ljubic), Horvath (60. Jovicic), Bello (60. Ba); Zulj (60th Kone); Usor (60th Pintor), Ljubicic (60th Goiginger)
