It has been a very quiet transfer period for football champions Salzburg so far. While the pursuers Sturm Graz and LASK added to their squads, the league leaders only signed substitute goalkeeper Timo Horn after the previous number two Nico Mantl was loaned out to Viborg. Four days before the Cup quarter-finals at LASK, Salzburg is now also reacting to the injury to Samson Baidoo (Syndesmoseriss) and the loan departure of defender Kamil Piatkowski to Granada: Flavius Daniliuc is also likely to come on loan, as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported.
The 22-year-old only worked part-time for the Italian first division club after an injury at the start of the season; last season he was still a regular player. The native of Vienna, trained in the youth ranks of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, made his debut in the ÖFB team in March 2023.
