The OÖN reported on January 25th about the upcoming transfer of the 27-year-old, 14-time national player for Ghana. SV Ried officially announced the new addition on Wednesday morning. Lumor, who has already played for Sporting Lisbon, RCD Mallorca, FC Malaga, 1860 Munich and Aris Thessaloniki, among others, signed a contract until the summer of 2025.
“It was our declared wish to bring in another player for the left side. With Lumor we were able to sign a very powerful and athletic player who suits us well as a player and person,” says SV Ried sports director Wolfgang Fiala. This will also further increase the competition within the team. “The first impressions in Ried were very positive. I would like to help the club get promoted back to the Bundesliga,” says the 27-year-old left-back.
Marc Andre Schmerböck, who came to SV Ried in the summer of 2023, is leaving the club for the third Spanish league.
