Speed ​​skater Golikova won the 500-meter at the World Cup

Russian speed skater Angelina Golikova won gold in the 500 meters at the World Cup in Calgary, Canada.

Golikova showed a result of 36.669 seconds. Second place went to Japan’s Nao Kodaira, 0.09 seconds back. The third place was taken by the American Erin Jackson (+0.25).

Another Russian woman, Kristina Silaeva, finished seventh (+0.53).

Earlier, on December 4, Golikova took second place in the 500 m race. The winner of the race was Angelica Vuychik from Poland, the third place was taken by Russian Olga Fatkulina.

On Saturday, the former head of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Vladimir Drachev called the silver of the Russian national team in the women’s relay at the World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria) as a good result.

The competition took place earlier that day, with the Russians taking second place. The Russian team included Valeria Vasnetsova, Svetlana Mironova, Ulyana Nigmatullina and Kristina Reztsova.

The fourth stage of the World Cup in Canada takes place from December 10 to 13 in Calgary.
