Russian Ustyugov became the second in the sprint at the stage of the World Cup in Davos

Russian skier Sergei Ustyugov came second in the freestyle sprint at the third stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing in Davos (Switzerland). This was reported on December 11 by Sport-Express.

In the final race, Ustyugov covered the distance in 2 minutes 23.71 seconds. The victory was won by the Norwegian Johannes Klebo (2.22.84), and the third place was taken by the Frenchman Richard Juve (+1.23).

Russians Alexander Terentyev, Gleb Retivykh and Artem Maltsev could not make it to the final of the competition.

Earlier on Saturday, the Russian women’s biathlon team took second place at the World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria). The Russian team included Valeria Vasnetsova, Svetlana Mironova, Ulyana Nigmatullina and Kristina Reztsova.

On the same day, Swedish biathlete Sebastian Samuelsson took third place in the pursuit race at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, displacing Frenchman Simon Destier.

Initially, it was reported that the French biathletes took the entire podium in the pursuit of the World Cup stage. Thus, the athlete Quentin Fillon-Maillet won the pursuit, covering the distance of 12.5 km in 33 minutes 52 seconds. His compatriots Emilian Jacquelin and Simon Destier came second and third. However, after revising the results of the photo finish, it turned out that the third result was shown by Samuelsson.
