Fridays will now host Free Practice 1 and the qualifying session for the sprint race. Saturday will be the turn of qualifying for Sunday’s main race and the sprint race. The main race will take place on Sunday.


Regarding the allocation of power units per driver, it will increase to four for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, providing more strategic flexibility to the teams.
Additionally, DRS will be activated after one lap instead of two, which promises more action and overtaking from the start of the race or the restart after a safety car period.
Issues related to the 2026 regulation were addressed, especially with regard to economic and sustainability issues. Minor updates to the 2024 technical, sporting and financial regulations were also approved.
All these modifications are pending final approval by the World Motor Sports Council.
