For the SIC the goals came from two penalties from Gastón Arias and one from Joaquín Lamas.
CUBA reached the final with the narrow victory over Newman, 16-15, since in the last play of the match Lucas Piña supported a try after prevailing in several ruck phases a few meters from Newman’s ingoal.
SIC, meanwhile, equaled in the semifinals with Hindú in 28 goals and qualified as a finalist by benefiting from the sporting advantage, as they finished better in the standings.
