Hamburger SV has changed its shirt sponsor for the coming season in the second Bundesliga. Now, however, the old sponsor has apparently been printed on the away jerseys.
Before the start of the second division season at FC Schalke 04 on Friday, Hamburger SV had a strange jersey breakdown.
Apparently the away jerseys from Hamburg are not yet suitable for the game, because the old sponsor Emirates is still shown on the black and blue jerseys from supplier adidas. However, the airline has not been a sponsor of the HSV since last season, this is now Orthomol, a family company from North Rhine-Westphalia, specializing in dietary supplements.
HSV: Change of sponsors brings around 600,000 euros
The change of sponsor should bring the HSV around 600,000 euros in additional income. While Emirates paid 1.4 million euros, Orthomol is to transfer up to two million euros per season to the Hamburg-based company.
The change of sponsor is however according to information from picture and Express not yet fully penetrated to supplier adidas. While the new sponsor adorns the white and red home jersey, the old sponsor was still emblazoned on the delivered away jerseys, making the jerseys unusable.
Away games must first be played in the home shirt
Against Schalke, Dresden (August 1st), St. Pauli (August 13th), Darmstadt (August 22nd) and Braunschweig (August 8th / DFB Cup), HSV will consistently wear the home jersey, according to the reports. Only against Heidenheim (August 28th) should the red trousers be able to appear in black and blue.

You can see in this video: Katja Kraus used to be a goalkeeper, then on the board of the HSV, and is now the managing director of Jung von Matt / sports. She was also on the Adidas supervisory board. As one of 40 women, she speaks out in solidarity for the quota for women in the star.
