Linz Marathon invites you to “Super Friday”

The Linz TipsArena is the headquarters on the marathon weekend in April, but next Friday it’s all about running. At the “Super Friday” (from 2 p.m.) there will be a running shoe test, a lactate test and a running meeting on a special surface.

Lshoe test: Things only go really well with the right footwear – passionate runners and competition participants know this only too well. Who is responsible for the highlight of the season in Linz? “Seven-league boots” If you want to find something, February 16th is exactly the right time. In cooperation with Intersport Winninger, the running shoe test takes place in the arena, where the right shoe can be found from all well-known brands and with expert advice. A running and movement analysis from Arion can also be helpful. The models can all be tested extensively on the running track in the TipsArena. What do you plan to do with the running shoes? Where is your favorite place to run with it? And what type of runner are you? All of these questions and many more will be answered next Friday.

Lact certificate: The lactate value, which measures the lactic acid in the blood, can be used to determine the metabolic status during exercise. By simultaneously recording the heart rate, the heart rate zones can be determined for different training stimuli. The runner then knows: It makes sense to train in this area. Sports doctor Ronald Ecker and sports scientist Alex Unger from the Austrian Endurance Center present “Super Friday” Their expertise is available; registration for the test is required in advance at www.linzmarathon.at (under Events).

Lhit: The Wellness Hotel Guglwald in the Mühlviertel has been encouraging many people to start in Linz for years and usually provides the largest running team at the event. We are also happy to run in unusual places during preparation. For example, in March in the large logistics center of the Rechberger company (March 7th) or in the Linzer Plus City car park (March 19th). But also next Friday in the TipsArena, where the 200-meter running track, otherwise reserved for track and field athletes, invites you to another special running meeting. “This is a unique opportunity.
