“After 6 intensive weeks”: Here Marco Schwarz throws away his crutches

“I’m really happy with the progress so far.”

At the end of December, Marco Schwarz tore his cruciate ligament in his knee. Immediately after the operation, the Carinthian worked hard on his comeback, as he now shows in a video on Instagram (see below).

“After 6 intensive weeks in rehab, it’s time to give away the crutches,” comments the 28-year-old in the excerpts in which he demonstratively throws his walking aids aside at the end.

Like Austria’s soccer star David Alaba, Schwarz was operated on by knee specialist Christian Fink in Hochrum. Of course, the way back on skis and into the World Cup is still a long one. The rule of thumb for cruciate ligament tears is a mandatory break of at least 6 months.
