Mbappe announced his departure to the PSG boss

When guessing which club Kylian Mbappe would play for from the summer, the 25-year-old gave the first answer: not at Paris Saint-Germain. The striker told club boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he would definitely leave the French champions when his contract expired at the end of the season – French media and transfer insiders reported this unanimously. As agreed, Mbappe first informed Al-Kheliaifi about this.

It’s no longer a big surprise; there will be an official statement about it in the coming days. The most likely scenario is that Mbappe will move to Real Madrid on a free transfer. Spain’s league leaders are sure of themselves; Real has been talked about as the world champion’s next career stop for years. Negotiations between Mbappe and Real Madrid have been allowed since January – six months before the PSG contract expires.

Participation in the Olympic tournament

Most recently, Paris wanted to persuade its record goalscorer with an annual salary of 72 million euros to stay, as ESPN reported. There Mbappe is free of charge, he could now reach the 100 million euro range thanks to bonus payments – and thus become the top football earner, at least beyond Saudi Arabia. An important point in his future decision should also be that he is allowed to take part in the Olympic football tournament in front of his home crowd in the summer.

Already in 2022 Mbappe before a move to Real, his favorite club from his youth. At that time he extended his contract in Paris again. Now his path is likely to lead to Spain, even though top English clubs have recently been courting him.
