He Inter Miami It will be the “last club I play for,” said the Uruguayan striker. Luis Suarez, who, however, maintained that he still has no date to retire.

The 37-year-old signed a contract with the Major League Soccer team last year for the 2024 season after a spell with Brazilian club Gremio.

Suárez reunited with his former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Albawith whom he won four LaLiga titles in five years in Spain.

“Inter Miami will be my last club, my family already knows. I don’t have a date yet, but it is the last step,” Suárez said in an interview for the La Mesa program on Uruguayan radio Del Sol.

“I am prepared for this last challenge, but there is inevitable wear and tear and in the end I want to have quality of life,” he added.

Suárez, who also played for clubs such as Ajax Amsterdam, Liverpool in England and Atlético de Madrid in Spain, has made 138 international appearances for Uruguay since 2007.

Inter Miami begins its MLS campaign against Real Salt Lake on February 21.
