This work is within an urban art project called “Common Messi”, in which the muralists seek to portray the Argentine idol in various parts of the city.

The first painting of the project they presented was “From another galaxy and from my neighborhood”, which is in the La Bajada neighborhood, in the South district.

“From another galaxy and from my neighborhood” was made last June, during the last America Cup, in which the Argentine national team won the final against Brazil 1-0 at Maracanã (Rio de Janeiro).

The work in question is located exactly in front of School No. 66 General Las Heras, where Lionel Messi did elementary school.

Marlene zuariaga told the press that they did a hard job: “We spent a month on this adventure. They were 18 days of work and the rest were days dedicated to logistics or because we had delays due to problems with the wind and rain. There was a bit of everything, but it was a high challenge.”

And he added what was the biggest challenge: the size of the drawing and that it was made on a building under construction: “It didn’t have an elevator and you had to lift things by forklift. It was also a major challenge to work on the perspective of the image for passers-by from a long distance.”, confessed the artist.

Among the activities that took place during the official opening, were the students of School No. 92 “Aristóbulo del Valle, who met in Urquiza Park, in front of the building where the work was carried out.

There, they carried out an artistic workshop in the open air, in order to make drawings about 10 in Argentina.
