Painful setback for Rainer Kepplinger:
Just two days after the professional cyclist from Waldingen demonstrated his excellent early form with a fifth place in the UAE Tour time trial, he suffered a broken hand and a shoulder injury.

The 26-year-old from Team Bahrain crashed in the final stages of the fourth stage. Kepplinger, who was eleventh overall at the time, did not take part in the Friday stage.
Start of the season for Michael Gogl
