Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Hinzenbach double winner Eva Pinkelnig only had to admit defeat to the superior Slovenian Nika Kriznar on Friday. Since her compatriot Nika Prevc only finished in tenth place, Pinkelnig reduced her gap to the Slovenian in the overall World Cup standings to under 200 points. We’ll continue next week with two competitions in Oslo.

Seifriedsberger, who was also on the podium twice alongside Pinklenig in Hinzenbach last weekend, was 7.6 points short of Kriznar. “It went quite well, but I still have my problems with the run-up, but that’s complaining at a high level. I still got a lot out of the flight, I’m really happy,” said Seifriedsberger.
Pinkelnig was already in third place, 14.3 points behind the winner, and the Vorarlberg woman improved from seventh place to the podium in the second round after changing skis.
“It was another very, very cool competition. I changed the material and it paid off,” said the defending World Cup champion. Pinkelnig is 174 points short of Prevc with seven competitions still outstanding. The third best ÖSV athlete was Sara Marita Kramer in 17th place.
