LASK is experiencing a Bundesliga premiere in Altach

Altach leads the Bundesliga in one ranking: No coach saw yellow more often than Joachim Standfest.

Until the summer, the yellow cards were just meaningless souvenirs for the coaches, but since the current season, the same rights apply to everyone: like the players, the coaches also have to watch after the fifth warning – and the first person to be hit is Altach’s Joachim Standfest Game against LASK on Sunday.

The 43-year-old reached this mark after 19 games – as he was already absent against Klagenfurt in November due to illness and was represented by his assistant Roman Wallner. The former LASK striker is also the boss on the bench on Sunday. “My team works, they know exactly what they have to do. I don’t need to get too involved,” said Steadfast.

Zulj and Stojkovic suspended

Robert Zulj and Filip Stojkovic are suspended from LASK. Without captain Zulj on the field, the athletes have not scored a goal this season; the 32-year-old himself was the goalscorer in the 1-0 win in the fall. Ivan Ljubic is out injured. “It will be important that we believe in ourselves and trust in our strengths again,” said coach Thomas Sageder after the four winless competitive games in the spring. “In Altach we become him

We will once again face a team against whom we will have a lot of possession phases. Accordingly, it is important to act very variably, especially in the final third, in order to get into good finishing positions as often as possible.”

In the last twelve Bundesliga games there was only a win in the Vorarlberg derby against Lustenau. “A top team is coming to us that is a little behind in terms of results like us. They stand for intensity and have excellent individual players. But we certainly won’t hide,” explained Steadfast. Striker Gustavo Santos, who is also serving a suspension, is not available. Atdhe Nuhiu, who recently had to be content with the reserve role, will start in his place. “If you need me, the coach knows that I’ll give it my all,” said the Wels native.
