Felix Loch finished second in the last single-seater race of the season. There are two German lugers on the podium in the overall World Cup rankings.
Felix Loch missed the Sigulda hat trick. After two luge victories in Latvia last weekend, the three-time Olympic champion came second in the final individual race of the season. “The first few corners were a bit hairy, but then it was a really great run,” said the 34-year-old. Local hero Kristers Aparjods took the home win. With 841 points, the Latvian came second in the overall World Cup ranking. Felix Loch (765) came third after twelve races. Max Langenhan (970 points), who was already the overall World Cup winner, did not take part because of his back injury and had already returned to Germany.
