National coach Julian Nagelsmann was able to advance the preparation of the national soccer team for the European Championship test match against France with the entire squad.
During training on the DFB campus in Frankfurt am Main, all 21 field players and the four goalkeepers around returning Manuel Neuer were on the pitch. The DFB selection travels to Lyon on Friday, where they will face World Cup runners-up France on Saturday (9 p.m./ZDF). The home game against the Netherlands in Frankfurt follows three days later.
“It’s now about developing stability in a relatively limited time,” Nagelsmann explained as he prepared the squad, which he had changed significantly, for the first two international matches in the home European Championship year. After Bayern youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic was unavailable due to an infection, five players are still part of the A team for the first time.
