Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin topped the list of 36+ NHL players with the most goals in the first 30 games of the season, following a 5-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets. This was reported on Friday, December 17, by the Canadian edition. TSN.

Ovechkin also became the NHL sniper leader for the 2021/22 season. He is in first place with 47 points and equaled Edmonton forward Connor McDavid. However, thanks to the greater number of goals (22 versus 16), the Russian took the lead. The third position is taken by another Edmonton striker Leon Dreiseitl – 46 points, according to Sport-Express.

In addition, Ovechkin, after a previous game with the Chicago Blackhawks, became the first Russian, the fifth European and the 27th hockey player in NHL history to conquer this result. He has 1,366 (751 + 615) points in NHL regular season games, as well as 135 (71 + 64) in the playoffs.

So far, the Russian forward is in fourth place among all NHL players. Only Wayne Gretzky (894), Gordy Howe (801) and Jaromir Jagr (766) have scored more in the league. Ovechkin has 752 goals.
