Biathlete Latypov won silver at the World Cup in Annecy

Russian biathlete Eduard Latypov won a silver medal in the pursuit race at the World Cup in Annecy. This was announced on Saturday, December 18, by Sport-Express.

The Russian was in the lead after the first shooting, but then made two penalties, and at the finish line was 0.1 seconds ahead of the Norwegian Vetle Christiansen. The first in the race was the Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet.

Russian Karim Khalili finished eighth in the pursuit, Alexander Povarnitsin twelfth.

On the eve of the Norwegian biathlete Philip Fjeld Andersen in the French Annecy won the first medal in his career at the stages of the World Cup. The 22-year-old finished third in the ten-kilometer sprint race with two firing lines, behind Johannes Boe and Eduard Latypov of Norway.

On December 12, the Russian men’s biathlon team took third place in the relay at the World Cup in Hochfilzen. The Russian national team was represented by Vasily Tomshin, Daniil Serokhvostov, Alexander Loginov and Eduard Latypov. The Norwegians came first to the finish line, the French were the second.
