Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard and his Crystal Palace counterpart Patrick Vieira, said vaccination status could be something to consider when signing players as cases continue to rise in the Premier League.
Covid-19 outbreaks at various clubs have forced 10 games to be postponed so far in the Premier, including six this weekend.
“We’re not close to signing a player but I thought about it and yes, he will definitely be influential,” said Klopp, who had previously been undecided about whether vaccination status would influence Liverpool’s transfer policy.
“If a player is not vaccinated, he is a constant threat to everyone (…) From an organizational point of view, it becomes really complicated. If you really want to follow the protocols, it is really difficult to do it.”
“Of course, it will be influential. We are not going to create a building for unvaccinated players, hopefully not necessary.”
