Manuel Neuer is still missing from FC Bayern team training. The national soccer goalkeeper has to get fit again after a torn muscle fiber. A Munich full-back is ill.
Without Manuel Neuer, who is still injured, FC Bayern has started preparing for the away game against 1. FC Heidenheim.
After two days off, coach Thomas Tuchel gathered the Munich football professionals back on the pitch for a public session. National goalkeeper Neuer was still missing from team training, but has recently been working individually.
The 38-year-old tore his adductor muscle while playing for the national team and therefore missed Saturday’s Bundesliga classic against Borussia Dortmund (0-2). Full-back Noussair Mazraoui was absent due to illness.
In front of the Munich fans, the two goalkeepers Sven Ulreich, who represented Neuer against BVB, and Daniel Peretz trained with the team. Midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic (tonsillitis) and defender Raphael Guerreiro (torn hamstring) were also there again. The two offensive players Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman initially trained outside with the team before continuing their work individually in the training center.
FC Bayern will play against surprise newcomers Heidenheim on Saturday (3:30 p.m.). The following Tuesday (9 p.m.) the Munich team will play their quarter-final first leg in the Champions League at Arsenal FC. In London, Bayern are planning to have Neuer again.
