On the occasion of commemorating the 119th anniversary since its founding of Boca. A small square in the vicinity of La Bombonera will be renamed “Juan Román Riquelme”in honor of the idol and president of the institution.
The small square, in honor of one of the greatest xeneizes idols and president of the institution, will be inaugurated today, at 4:00 p.m.
The Juan Román Riquelme square was built during the summer and has been ready since February. It is located right in front of the entrance hall of Brandsen 805 and has benches and lighting for use by the residents of the neighborhood and so that Boca members can use it on match days.

The president of the “Association of Neighbors of La Boca El Mariscal Minutti Civil Association”, Diego Minutti, sent a letter to the president of Community Board 4, Silvia Millara, to invite her to the event that will be held in Brandsen and the road. “I want to highlight that a large part of the community of our Commune 4 expresses its pleasure and approval for the impulse given to the idea of nominating a small square with the name of an idol of the club and the neighborhood”Minutti explained in his writing.
From today, The square will have the following plaque that will name it with the name of one of the greatest idols of the institution from La Ribera as it is Riquelmetoday president of the club.
Boca, for its part, called for the inauguration and the subsequent walk to Plaza Solis, where the founders will be honored as is done on all anniversaries.
