2nd League: Important victory for Rostock, Hertha BSC wins in Paderborn

Hansa Rostock scored important points in the relegation battle with a home win against Wehen Wiesbaden. Hertha BSC turned the game around in Paderborn and won 3-2 after falling behind.

Thanks to a 3-1 (0-0) home win in the basement duel against SV Wehen Wiesbaden, FC Hansa Rostock kept its chance of staying in the 2nd Bundesliga.

The goals for the hosts were scored by Damian Roßbach (51st), Kai Pröger (72nd) and Svante Ingelsson (90th + 4th) in front of 25,500 spectators. Ivan Prtajin (78th) scored for the guests, where Bjarke Jacobsen was shown red in the 52nd minute for serious foul play.

Hertha BSC celebrates away win in Paderborn

Hertha BSC continued its short streak of success and moved up to sixth place for the first time this season, at least for one day.

After being 2-1 down at SC Paderborn, the Berliners managed a 3-2 (1-1) win. The winning goal for the guests was scored by Haris Tabakovic (90th minute), who scored his seventh goal in the last five games. The hosts, who had been superior for a long time, remained without a win for the fifth game in a row.
