The Russian men’s national swimming team on December 20 shared gold medals with athletes from the United States in the combined 4×50 relay at the World Short Course Championships in Abu Dhabi.
Russian and American athletes covered the distance in 1 minute 30.51 seconds. The third place was taken by the Italian team (+0.27 seconds).
A day earlier, Russian Kliment Kolesnikov won two gold medals at the World Cup in Abu Dhabi. Thus, the athlete won a gold medal in short course swimming in the 50 m backstroke and the highest award in the 100 m complex swimming, adds the site “Sport-Express”.
Earlier, on December 16, Russian swimmers won gold in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the World Short Course Championships in Abu Dhabi. The Russian four swam the relay with a total time of 3 minutes 3.45 seconds. Kliment Kolesnikov, Andrey Minakov, Vladislav Grinev and Alexander Shchegolev took the start.
