The first decisions for the 22nd Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon have been made. The LAT Nitrogen Half Marathon gave Austria a triple victory. Timo Hinterdorfer won in a good time of 1:03:20 hours ahead of Mario Bauernfeind (1:05:17) and Raphael Siebenhofer (1:08:16).
“It was very tiring, but I fought until the end,” said Hinterdorfer. But the course record from 2002 was untouchable: 1:02.36 by Mutai Kiprono.
In the women’s race, Swiss Sereina Scherzinger was unbeatable in 1:16:18.
