The Eisbären Berlin missed an early entry into the final of the German Ice Hockey League. Straubing will fight for a fifth game on Wednesday in the capital.
The Eisbären Berlin missed out on an early entry into the playoff final against the Straubing Tigers. The record champions lost the fourth meeting at the Tigers 2:3 (0:1, 1:0, 1:2) and only lead 3:1 in the best-of-seven series.

The Berliners only really got into the game in the second half and were rewarded with the first playoff goal from national player Frederik Tiffels (30th).
