The president of Conmebol, Alejandro Dominguezvisited the stadiums of Racing and Mouthand gave the go-ahead to be candidates for the headquarters of the Copa Libertadores 2024 and they joined the option of More Monumental.

The president of the Confederation, accompanied by Claudio Tapia (President of AFA) and Victor White (top leader of the Avellaneda club), toured the Cylinder this Friday.


“I think the stadium is good. From what Víctor shared with us, they have many more projects, which makes one motivated. When there is movement, one feels the synergy”he claimed Dominguez.
In the same sense he added: “We are here because we believe that the Cilindro can and has all the conditions to host a final. If we have to work with time, we came to make an evaluation and see what the priorities would be in case the stadium is needed for a final.”
Victor Whitefor his part, thanked the visit of Dominguez and Wall: “It is a great pride that the Presidente Perón stadium has the possibility of being one of the venues. It is something extraordinary. I think we deserve it. We have been there for more than 70 years, with a very great history.”
