Manchester City has submitted in the Premier League title race. There is a must win against Luton.

In the three-way title fight in the English Premier League, Manchester City is ahead, at least until Sunday. The defending champions won 5-1 (1-0) at home against relegation candidate Luton Town. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team is now two points ahead of rivals Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC, who only play on Sunday.

An own goal from Japan’s Daiki Hashioka gave the hosts the lead in the second minute, and they could have been ahead even at the break. Mateo Kovacic (64th) and Erling Haaland with a penalty kick (77th), Jeremy Doku (87th) and Josko Gvardiol (90th + 3) then ensured a result befitting their status. Ross Barkley (81st) scored for Luton.

On Wednesday, Manchester City will host the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League after the furious 3-3 draw at Real Madrid.
